Day 1 I feel good, not feeling to thirty right now. I love to drink water, because i love to clean out my system, and i know that it's good for you. Im actually trying to gain like about 15 to 20 pounds. I drank my protein shake right after i drank 65 Oz of water. I can't complain i feel great.

    1. Hi Anne,
Proper hydration just really starts to get your body back in balance by getting it working properly. Feeling lighter typically happens because you're going to the bathroom more frequently & better bowel movements....plus eating less. Only because most people mistake thirst signals for hunger. Therefore they end up eating more. So typically when one starts to lose weight when starting to hydrate, it's because your actually drinking water when you're normally eating & your having more bowel movements to get rid of waste. Keeping hydrated is an excellent way to maintain body weight along with a balanced diet & exercise. Keep posting so you can earn those $200 travel dollars! Keep up the good work!

My eating habits have also changed, I do not eat as much or have as many helpings as I normally would. Yesterday day 8, I worked from 9am unitl late last night about 10:30, normally i would be starving and have to eat probably a couple times and have some snacks in between, I did not have a chance to eat until about 6 oclock last night, I know thats not good but intresting how I was full after having a little bit of food, I am frequently going to the bathroom and still waking up in the middle of the night to use the bathrooom.

    1. Great job Jude! So proud of the progress you're making. Share your experience with others...they will start to feel all the wonderful benefits you are. The fact is that they don't know how to feel good & a great start is getting "hydrated". More energy, eating less, getting a lot done throughout the day all great benefits anyone would want to have for themselves. Many times people mistake 'thirst' signals for hunger & they end up eating when they should be drinking water. Then they start adding the pounds & don't know why. As for going to the bathroom in the middle of the night, try not to drink water an hour before you go to bed. Otherwise, you'll be getting up : ) Keep up the good work because you're on your way to the end of the contest & earning $200 travel dollars!!!

All that energy has you motivated to work out now....that's great! Most people don't realize that they are not hydrated & wonder why they don't have the energy to get through the day......so forget about working out!!! However, Jenniffer for you to be properly hydrated, you need to have at minimum 106 oz of water for proper hydration. You have only been doing 80 oz daily. If you are starting to work out, you will need to drink the 106 oz minimum & increase your water intake from there. You are on your way to earning your $200 travel dollars so don't stop now.....keep your daily posting!!

Today is day 11 and i really do not like drinking brita/bottleed water after drinking so much of the filtered water. I bring in Glass bottles 1 liter each to fill up at the water filter and i drink almost all 4 bottles a day. I am sooo looking forward to getting a filter soon. I feel so much better drinking more water.

    1. Hi Anne,
So glad to hear that you are continuing with your hydration. Drinking water is not easy especially when you don't like the taste of the water you are drinking. A similar problem most people have. I believe our filter is the best in the industry. For that reason--I LOVE drinking water! As for the contest, to qualify for the $200 travel dollars, you have to post your experience with the hydration contest daily. I still encourage you to drink 1/2 your body weight in ounces because you will STILL benefit from the contest by creating a healthy habit like hydration : ) I'm so glad to hear that you feel better. Share that experience with others so they, too can feel better!

Today is day one...I brought my water bottle with me to EHP and to my baseball coaching job. The bottle holds 35 ounces of fluid and I drank it down 3 times today at work and once at my baseball job. My baseball water bottle has seen a lot of action through my college baseball career and it is now with me starting my work career. I gave up soda for my New Year's Resolution. I have done son before and I am only drinking water milk and juices. I loved soda but it made me gain unwanted weight and in just day one of drinking water it has helped me flush out my system and has allowed me to know when I am truly hungry and I have not been thirsty once today. Don't feel a difference yet but I will.

Today is my first day in the contest. I usually drink about 32 oz of water a day so I thought it would be easy to double the volume. However, it was a lot more difficult to do. I found myself going to the bathroom much more often and felt very full. On the bright side, I ate less than I usually do. I tend to snack a lot during the day but found myself eating less today. I am also trying VERY hard to substitute the water with the soda I usually drink, and was able to do so today. I'm not feeling different just yet, but hopefully will soon.

Once you eliminate soda, you will see a noticeable difference in your energy levels....no more afternoon naps needed : ) Can't wait to hear more.....remember to post every day plus weekends : )

Today I switched up my routine to see how much of a difference water was making in my life. Instead of drinking 2 bottles in the morning, I drank half a bottle and ate a heavy breakfast. I didn't drink any water again until 2:30pm when I had a raging headache, extreme stomach pain and I was extremely fatigued. From that moment on I knocked down a bottle of water every hour until 6:00pm and I felt a lot better. Unlike the past two days, today I was extremely hungry because I didn't drink much water until later on in the day. Needless to say I wont be trying this again! :(

I started Jan. 10th, but did not send my progress comments per day on the blog. I guess I don't qualify for the points now, nevertheless, I still want to share my notes on the 14 days to Hydration progress. It really made a difference how much ounces of water you drink per day. If I know I'm coming down with a headache, it's a reminder that I didn't have enough water for that day. If I had to go to the bathroom a lot of times, I noticed how light I let out when I consumed the 32 to 48 ounces. But there were days that I consumed minimal ounces, & noticed the difference in color (darker yellow). It also made me constipated when I drank less water. I started to drink 1 cup of coffee in the morning & more water to get replenished & 1 cup of tea during mid-morning. Hopefully I will continue to replenish myself into drinking more water cause it's healthier. Thank you..

All of the previous benefits of drinking are still in effect. Energy, better mood, less headaches and normal appetite. The only thing that was different today was that I had a sudden craving for something really savory. Since I began drinking our filtered water, whenever I have to drink bottled water I taste the difference and I am put off by bottled water.

I drank 90oz worth of water today and I am still in a great mood and not as hungry as I was before.

    1. Hi Dennis--I am so proud of your progress and even more so with your awareness!!! You are really having fun with this contest & I am so glad you are testing your results. Major difference in how you felt when you stopped drinking as much water, huh? It's not until you do that you realize how important water is & how it can change your health. Because you tested this, you know the difference. How many people go through life eating too much, drink energy drinks/soda, & feel like cr*p. They don't even know why.....they're not drinking enough water or any water. This is where your educating them is extremely important. You can make a difference. Also, important that you realized the difference in the QUALITY of bottled water versus our filters!!! it's HUGE!!! This is also another reason people don't drink water because they don't like the taste. Share your experience with everyone. Keep up the good work & you're on your way to earning those travel dollars : )

Day 13: Giants won!!!...Now with that out of the way, today I am glad I drank so much water. With the amount of times I jumped up and down and shouted with my friends during the game, I must have run the equivalent of a couple of miles. I felt full all day and had a lot of energy.

    1. Hi Dennis,
I so look forward to reading your posts! You have had the greatest observations & are learning some valuable things by being in this contest. Hydration affects everything: energy, tissues, muscles, appetite, mood, mental clarity, etc......
When hydrating, you should never feel as if you are forcing anything. Spread out your water intake & remember to eat properly. Your are right--water is not a substitute for food! Filtered water with our filter does taste amazing, I agree! I'm sure you have also noticed that not all bottled water tastes the same...which makes it that much harder to drink. Plus, with a filter, you know exactly the kind of water you are getting...CLEAN! You are almost done with your contest & you're going to earn those $200 travel dollars!!! Yippee! Great job Dennis!

On the next post, please share with everyone how this experience has changed you? What was the most important thing you learned? And how are you going to help others with this new info?

    Last Day: (Hi Elizabeth!!)
What can I say? Entering this contest has helped me feel better than I have in years (4 to be exact. I used to do Karate and I drank a gallon of water a day). I remember now how great I felt when I drank a copious amount of water, daily. I feel that by hydrating, I am giving my body and mind exactly what it needs to functions at it's maximum capability.

However, after comparing water to water or rather, bottled water to our filtered water, I will say that I will no longer drink any other water that is not Alkaline. My body absorbs and responds well to our filtered water and I feel great after. I have learned that water is important but so is the quality of water. My true test is maintaining myself and the amount of water I drink Daily. Also, I tell everyone I know that they need to drink at least half of their body weight to stay properly hydrated.

In closing, I would like to share a conversation I had with one of my friends during the superbowl:

Friend: "What is the matter with you? You look dead. Stop whining!"
    Me: "I am dehydrated!"
Friend: "Well drink a cup of water!"
Me: If I am this thirsty it is because I need more than a cup of water!"
Friend: "....Then drink two cups of water, be quite and watch the game"
Me: "I need 100oz of water"
Friend: "What are you, a camel?"
Me: "No, I am just well informed." I win.

  50. Today is my first day drinking so much water...im not a big water fan and always thought that i couldnt drink it without added flavoring. Well today i have broken one of my bad habits and will try to keep this going way past the fourteen day period. Not only do i get to be a healthier person but I have a support system to help me out. Feel great already. (Mentally Positive)

    1. So glad to hear that you're participating in the hydration contest even though you have never been a fan of water. Good for you for trying....the benefits definitely outweigh not giving it a shot, right? I think you should read Dennis' comments before our post about what he learned during his hydration contest, if you haven't done so already. "Quality" of water has a lot to do with why you probably didn't like to drink water in the first place. I can't wait to hear about your personal experience throughout the contest. Remember to post daily & on weekends to earn your trip dollars : )

So today is the first day of drinking all those waters. It was extremely hard at first because you crave for other drinks but now that it's night time I'm getting use to it. I have to admit I'm definitely going to the bathroom a little more but I'm staying positive and hey in two weeks I'll loss some weight. That's ideal!

Within the course of yesterday (post training) and today (morning) I have fully consumed all 97.5 ounces. After consuming so much in such a little time, a very obvious expected result was using the lavatory multiple times. In addition, I had no appetite at night. Also my morning routine felt a little more fluid, less unbearable. One great result was the exponential energy that resulted from drinking so much. I felt as though my day and morning encountered less fatigue than the previous day.

    1. Hi Jairo,
Glad to see you are taking part in the hydration contest. When you start drinking more water than you have been used to, you will use the bathroom more often in the beginning & then it levels off : ) Going to the bathroom more frequently ensures that you are eliminating toxins & waste which will help with you having more energy. Being hydrated will help you wake up in the morning with more energy to get going. Definitely beats waking up groggy & wanting to hit the snooze button 10 times. Can't wait to hear what happens to you during the 14 days. Please remember to post daily & on weekends so you can earn your travel dollars!

    Day 2

Today was a great day. I have suffered from migraines for about 9-10 months now and have been on medication that is supposed to help but really hasnt. Today was the first day that I actually didnt get one. I got very small hints of it but not like before were I couldn't drive because my eyesight will get blurry. I never knew that drinking water could have been my solution.

    1. I am so happy to hear that Brittany : )) Headaches are a signal of dehydration so migraines 'could' be a result of severe dehydration. Your brain is a muscle and ALL muscles need water. Otherwise they cramp. So when your brain hasn't gotten the necessary water it needs to stay hydrated, you get a headache. Water definitely seems like a better solution than medication. BUT, as with anything, you always want to consult a doctor to make sure the migraines are not occurring because of some other underlying health issue. Just continue, as you have, to pay attention to what happens to you in the next 14 days when you are hydrating yourself. Document all your physical & mental changes & then you could share this "diary" with your doctor : )

    2. yes definately... when i got hospitalized last year for this same reason they did cat scans blood analysis and they found nothing... the only thing that made me feel better was the IV because I was finally getting water in my system. I do have to admit that before this program I wasn't the best water fan out there.

    1. Hi Kimberly--so great to hear you're having a wonderful time with the hydration contest. Keeping yourself hydrated will help you not to eat when you normally would "snack" because you're addressing your "thirst" signal instead. Be careful, this is not a reason "not to eat". You should still be eating about 6 small meals throughout the day to keep your metabolism up so you naturally lose weight. This burst of energy that you feel, if you're not eating, is your adrenaline kicking in so you can make it through the day. This can feel amazing but it's not healthy to put your adrenals in overload. You'll eventually burn out & that doesn't feel good :( Keep hydrating & plan & eat your meals & you will lose the 20 pounds you want BUT safely!!! Remember to post daily---I'm reading everyday. You definitely want those travel dollars!

    1. You're doing great Brittany--keep up the goo work! I'm glad to hear that you're getting rid of soda :) Now all you want to think about is limiting your juice intake because that's alot of sugar....expecially if it's store bought & not natural juice made in a juicer. Unfortunately, they add alot of high fructose corn syrup & preservatives that don't really help your body. When going out, just ask if the water is filtered. If it's not, then just ask for bottled. I know it's expensive to buy bottled water but you (and everyone else) do it every single day : ( It can be very expensive if your properly hydrating yourself & buying bottled water. This contest will help you to realize that "filtered" water is not only better for you physically but ALSO financially. Once you experience this, then you can speak to others from experience about the importance of proper hydration. Great job! Very close to earning those travel points so remember to post daily : ) I'm reading every day!
