I've been drinking a gallon of water(128oz) every day for about three months. I workout a lot and I wouldn't like to pass out at the gym due to dehydration and plus I take multi-vitamins and a few others body building products that required a lot of water in order to dissolve properly in the body. I will keep on drinking a gallon of water every single day because the benefits out of it are really extraordinary.

  4. Hi Olga,
Love that you're taking on this challenge. You are not going to regret it...you'll be establishing a habit of hydration that will stay with you for life : ) Dry mouth is often a signal of dehydration & you're already noticing the difference in this short amount of time. As for the allergies, hydration with water will only help to lubricate those tissues and help to alleviate the symptoms....especially that "heavy" feeling. There is a book you should read by Dr. Batmanghelidj "Your bodies many cries for water". It's amazing...he discusses his findings on how water can cure just about anything. Can't wait to hear more from you on this challenge--sometimes it helps to recruit a partner to do it with you but I know you can do it!

  5. Great attitude Luis! Some people don't notice any changes right away but some do. Everyone is different. They key is to become "aware" of the little changes that you normally wouldn't pay attention to (like changes in your breathing, appetite, skin, energy, elimination, headaches, etc.) You are going to feel amazing : ) I'm glad you're up for the challenge. Not only are you going to experience these positive physical & mental changes but you're also helping yourself earn 7500 points for the Ft. Lauderdale trip if you post comments everyday. You can make it happen Luis!

    ReplyDelete
  6. That's great Renato to hear that you have already been trying to hydrate yourself properly because of the working out. This challenge will be easy for you then......just have to post comments on how you feel daily so that you, too, can earn those 7500 points toward the Ft. Lauderdale trip in January. Tell me on your next post how drinking the gallon of water has changed you so far physically & mentally. So many other people need to hear your experience for encouragement. Once they hear the benefits, you will have impacted their lives by helping them create a "healthy" habit.

  8. Trainee: salman malik
    Weight: 165 lbs
Oz per day needed to drink: 82.5
Day 1 experience: other than frequently going to the washroom I didn't feel any different. Perhaps, because it was the first day... hopefully by day 2 I can start to experience more energy! We'll see what else I experience throughout these 14 days.

    ReplyDelete
  9. Hi Patricia,
When you carry a bottle with you everywhere, it makes it very easy to remember to drink your water for the day. Give it time to notice changes...everyone is different. Just be aware of any little changes and before you know it, they'll make big differences!

  10. Hi Salman,
Can't wait to hear what you experience in the next few days! The frequency of going to the bathroom, although you may see as an inconvenience, is a great thing. You're detoxing!!! That is a major change you're experiencing already....only more to come : )

  11. Patricia day 2
Today i drank about 70 oz. more than i was actually supposed to but it was just hard to stop. i have been using the bathroom room ive noticed. hopefully i start feeling better too. cant wait for the next couple of days.

  12. Trainee: Olga Cotos-Aguilar
    Weight: 140 lbs
    Ounces Needed: 70.5 ounces
Ounces Drank: 71 ounces (another 3 sports bottles today)
Effects: Positive attitude! I was extremely hyper and energetic after I left training today. I can't tell you whether it was because of my water intake or because I was cruising on excitement from haven set my training appointments. Pretty much maintained that energy and attitude all day! Until I ate dinner... then I wanted to go to sleep! Dragged my butt to my soccer game & dragged through the game. Ironically, the energy came back after. Probably should of drank more water, however. Considering I was exercising.

  13. Elizabeth...
I'll definitely look into that book! I actually recruited my gf tonight to take the challenge with me. I suggested what she should be drinking considering her weight and the 2-3 cups of coffee she drinks a day. She thought I was crazy!(lol) However, she's on board! I have a feeling I'm a have to stay on her though!

Day 2 experience: day 2 has passed, and I'm still "detoxing!" Its actually amazing when I think about it, that I'm detoxing my body and I am starting to feel it now. I feel the energy starting to come and I feel more awake. Before yesterday, I used to feel tired and sleepy throughout the day, but I feel a change to that coming on. Hopefully everyday will be better than the last!

    ReplyDelete
  15. Day 2: Elizabeth... I'm going to start by saying that I used to suffer from really bad headaches from 2-3 times per week. I thought it was because usually I get about 4-6 hours of sleep every night so waking up with a headache I found it normal if I wasn't letting my body rest at night. I used to take a tylenol in the morning with a can of soda or juice hoping the headache would go away. I used to hate water until I asked my personal trainer why was he always carrying a bottle of water with him at all times and he explained me the sience behing water (of course I didn't believe him) so when I got home I googled the benefits of water and saw a few youtube videos related to the topic and kind of convinced me to start drinking water. For some reason my daily headaches went away so I started doing some more research and found out the reasons why the most effective pre-workout products must be taken with water! I was always an energetic guy so I can't really give water the credits for something that I'm not sure about but I do guarantee that it took away my headaches!!!

  16. Day 2:Luis
Sorry for the lateness but didn`t have the chance last night. I`m moving on with the program trying to go a little over my needed ounces and on the second day i could notice that i didn`t feel that anxiety i get sometimes when it comes to eat late at night. It`s been a good sign for me since i usually have that issue.

    Luis I.
Still following the instructions and drinking my ounces. No time to see major changes yet because I have to admit I haven't been proprerly hydrated due to not drinking the right amount of water for a very long time! Looking forward to day 4

Day 3 of experience: today was just day another day of drinking my 82 oz's of water. Got through it like it was just a part of my regular day, I guess my body has now adjusted to that much more liquid coming into my body. I've felt more energy, and the energy lead to more work being done with less headache and energy still left over to get a light workout in at the gym. I hope to see more improvement as the days go by.

  22. patricia day 4
yesterday i took a sip of some soda and this morning i woke up with dry mouth. i hate the feeling and i think i wont drink anymore soda for the rest of my life. continuing to drink 67 to 70 oz of water per day. and doing great. feeling a little more energized when i wake up in the morning.

  23. Day 4 and 5: I apologize I couldn't send my info yesterday but just to many things to do on the field. So far I can say I'm starting to see some valuable results because my anxiety for food has decrease way much. I'm expecting to see some more results along the way.

Day 4 experience: my fourth posting and now I'm a completely different person. Water has changed my life around. I wakr up earlier, sleep earlier. I feel more energy less fatigue. Most importantly, less food and more meals throughout the day. I still get hungry the same way as I used to before but now I don't eat as much and get filled from less food. Definitely this experiment was worth it!

im feeling a couple differences since ive started this contest. im going to the bathroom more and i have a little more energey when i wake up in the morning. lets see what other changes i'll feel in the next week.

    ReplyDelete
  26. Wasn't home this weekend so I could not post. Just got back to my beloved laptop....

Day 4: Super energized and felt great. My attitude was above and beyond. Might be attributed to the hydration. Otherwise, more than likely, it was due to the fun I had training out in the field.

Day 5: Felt good throughout the day and evening. Had a family event and had quite a few drinks. Resulting in not being soo hydrated when I went to bed. Did drink my required ounces but obviously I needed to drink a lot more to suffice.

Day 6: Drank more than my required amount. I've felt pretty tired today. Probably attributed to the weekends festivities. Mood is still pretty good. Trying to be positive and ready to take on the work week.

    ReplyDelete
  27. Day 6: I couldn't get the right amount of ounces today but looking forward to get back on track ASAP. Anyways I've started to see some reactions in my organism to this hydration process!

  29. Hi Renato,
Haven't seen you post lately but I wanted to respond to your post. Water is a tremendous asset to our bodies in so many ways. When properly hydrated, our organs, tissues, blood, bones, etc. can all function properly. I'm glad you did your research on the many benefits of water. I suggest you add this to your reading list - "Your bodies many cries for water" by Dr. Batamanghelidj. Your headaches have probably been addressed, especially if your brain, which is a muscle, needed hydrating. You also want to be mindful of what you are eating & drinking as it can also contribute to your headaches. Always important to consult a doctor if your headaches are more frequent as there may be an underlying problem. Balance in all that you do will lead you on the right path. Glad to hear that your headaches have resolved as a result of adding more water to your daily intake of liquids. Happy hydrating!

  30. Hi Salman,
So happy to hear the many positive results you are experiencing by participating in this contest!!! More energy helps you to get through the day & definitely improves your overall attitude, doesn't it? When you are happy & positive people will want to be around you & offer you opportunities. Life just gets so much easier when your happy! You use more energy when your negative. So smile and enjoy life : ) As for the eating, the water is helping you to manage how much food you eat which will naturally help you manage your weight. Many times thirst signals are mistaken for hunger pains which makes us eat more than we really need to. So I typically drink water when I get that feeling to see if I'm really hungry. If that pain is still there, I eat : ) It's worked for me--especially after having a baby. I lost almost 30 pounds in 5 months! I never stop drinking my water.....I definitely need the energy with the baby & especially need to be hydrated because I'm breastfeeding. Keep up the good work...the contest is almost over! You're going to be able to help others learn the importance of water through your own personal experience....you'll be making a difference one person at a time.

    ReplyDelete
  31. Day 7:Half way thru and definitely feeling changes in my breathing, energy as well as my anxiety for eating. Moving on towards the end of this contest.

    ReplyDelete
  32. Hi Olga,
Thank you for posting the days you missed.....you're still in this contest so don't give up. You've made some great observations regarding the importance of proper hydration with water. Your weekend's festivities of having a few drinks can set off your hydration in the other direction if you don't replace those drinks with water. That is what ultimately zaps your energy! You're dehydrated & alcohol disturbs your sleep--those all affect your energy : ( The good news is you know how to get yourself back on track. How many other people could benefit from what you experienced just this weekend? Everyone can! Glad to hear you're having a great time in the field. It's hard work in the beginning only because you don't know what you're doing. But with the training & you practicing it only gets easier. Working with people is a lot of fun & now you can help educate them on the importance of being hydrated with water. Your experience with this contest will help you during your consultations because you believe based on your personal results. You're on your way to earning those travel points...keep it going!

    ReplyDelete
  33. Hi Patricia,
There may be some days where you can't get the necessary ounces of water in just do your best. Everything must be done in moderation. I'm sure you're enjoying your new found energy....that's great! Whenever I feel tired, it's usually because I haven't had enough water or food for the day. Pretty interesting the dry mouth you experienced because of the soda. Caffeine will dehydrate you which explains that feeling you had. Just remember to replace those ounces of soda that you drank with water : ) When you start feeling good by making these small changes, like hydrating yourself, then you cut out all of the things that make you feel bad. You start to realize that eating or drinking those things is just not worth it. Before you know it, you're on your way to a healthier lifestyle by making healthy choices. You should definitely share your personal experience with others because there are so many people who struggle with weight problems, fatigue, headaches, etc. and they don't know why they are where they are. You can make a difference : ) You're almost finished with the contest.....you can do it!!!

    ReplyDelete
  34. Well today I can actually say the changes are a lot more when it comes to energy, breathing and also my weight. So far I've lost 2 pounds and beeen creating the habit of hydration by cutting on sodas and artificial drinks as well as coffee. Keeping up the energy till day 14.

  40. Hi Alisa,
Glad to hear you're participating in the 2 wk hydration contest! Frequent bathroom breaks are normal in the beginning. Especially if you're not used to drinking 1/2 your body weight in ounces. Not feeling "as" hungry is also normal because many people mistake thirst signals for "hunger". Now that you're drinking the right amount of water for your body, you won't mistakenly eat more food. That's how most people start to lose weight in the beginning. Proper hydration as part of your lifestyle will also help you maintain your weight. Alot more positives you'll experience during contest so be aware of "any" changes. Can't wait to hear about it :)

    ReplyDelete
  41. Hi Ivelisse,
Welcome to the 2wk hydration contest. That dry mouth & throat will get better when your body starts hydrating itself properly. That's great news! Bathroom frequency happens in the beginning because you're not used to the water but it will taper off. Don't think of it as a nuisance--your body is getting rid of toxins!!! Only more great stuff to come....have fun with the contest!

    ReplyDelete
  42. Hi Florentino,
Great job! You're going to have a lot of fun with this contest & experience some really positive changes! Be aware & comment on what you experience. Everyone who reads this will learn from you in addition to the people you talk to about this. Even better--grab a partner to do the contest with you : ) Read the comments I posted before about not feeling hungry & going to the bathroom because you're experiencing similar results as the others in the contest! Remember to post daily for the contest!

    ReplyDelete
  43. Hi Eddie,
Drinking water is definitely A+! You are going to love this contest! Be aware of all the positive changes your body & and mind go through : ) Read some of the other posts since you're experiencing some of the same changes as the others. Post daily for the contest because I love the feedback. And, this is also feedback you can direct the clients to show them how important hydration is : ) You'll be making a positive difference in people through your personal experience! Happy hydrating : )

  60. day 6 ... you know i realized that i don't have as many headaches? i usually get a pretty big one every other day or so if not everyday and the last couple days i haven't had any! This is a huge sigh of relief for me because it was really hard for me to do the things i needed throughout my day and it hindered my activities immensely. I also lost a little bit of weight which would make any female a happy camper. This is supposed to be for only 8 more days at this point but it's definitely something i will continue doing throughout my life

  66. Hi Katherine,
I'm so proud of all the progress you have made!!! You replaced juice with WATER : ) Excellent! as a result, you will have more energy & sleep much better because you don't have so much SUGAR running through your veins. Your allowing your body to NATURALLY energize itself. Once you have this habit, it is with you always. You are already on your way to living a healthier lifestyle : ) You should share your personal experience with other people that you know, too. You can help change their lives! Keep up the good work....you're almost at the end of the contest--next Monday.

    ReplyDelete
  67. Alisa,
So happy to hear about you getting rid of the headaches....you must feel AMAZING now!!! How many other people need to know what you have just learned. EVERYONE!!! Many people just like you suffer with headaches and sometimes it just as simple as keeping yourself hydrated : ) (Obviously, you always want to consult with a physician to make sure there is no major issue). Tell everyone about the simple changes you made & what a difference it has made. They will ask you how you did it & you can explain. Contest is almost over so keep it up....next Monday. Sounds like this is a habit you will not stop after the contest. So great to hear that!

    ReplyDelete
  68. Hi Flo,
Pay attention to your diet also. Make sure you are eating healthy and getting exercise as well. You also want to make sure you're getting the rest you need. Sometimes you have "one of those days". In the meantime, remember the energy & the ability to get more things done in your day as a result of this simple hydration contest. Makes it all worthwhile.....plus travel points! Contest is over on monday so keep up the good work. don't forget to post because I have seen your posts drop : (

    ReplyDelete
  74. That is so great to hear Alisa!!! It is a lifestyle change : ) Hope your Thanksgiving was wonderful....you can still eat healthy on holidays, too. When you're hydrated properly, you eat less. More importantly, is to know that you can eat smaller portions just more frequently throughout the day to keep your metabolism going. How many lives can you change by sharing your hydration experience? Talk to everyone about how important it is to drink water....and then you can inform them about investing in a high quality water filtration system that will help them accomplish their goal! You're so close to the end of the contest....keep up the good work!

    ReplyDelete
  75. You can do it Katherine! Stay hydrated & you will eat less & remove toxins from your body. All that new found energy will help you with exercising so you can get to 140 : ) So many other people want to accomplish what you are doing...so talk about it. They will want to know just how you did it & you can explain how Carico products can help them live a healthier lifestyle save money. When you're healthy, you're not sick. When you're not sick, you're saving money by not going to the doctor, by not buying medicines & not missing time from work. Keep it going...you're almost finished with the contest :) You can do it!

    ReplyDelete

  97. Hi Leury,
So glad to hear that you were aware of the importance of drinking water before the contest. But even more glad that you are experiencing such a big difference as a result of drinking half of your body weight in ounces of water. Proper hydration will help you work out longer. But, it will also help you to experience some other mental & physical changes. Even though they may be slight changes, they are just as important. So as part of the contest, please share in detail any physical or mental changes that you experience (i.e. loss of weight, no headaches, etc.) I look forward to hearing more from you. Your sharing also helps others : )

    ReplyDelete
  98. Hi Maria,
So happy to hear you're part of the contest ; ) Drinking half your body weight in ounces isn't easy in the beginning especially if you're not used to drinking the water. But, you are already seeing a difference in your energy. That's great! When you're hydrated, you will not feel that "tired" feeling like you have to take a nap in the middle of the day. Amazing what water can do....not many people know the advantages. This contest will help you explain the many benefits to others. Keep up the good work...you're going to feel more changes as you continue for the 2 weeks with this contest. So remember to post daily as I am reading all the comments & be detailed. Thanks & have fun with this!

    ReplyDelete
  99. Hi Elizabeth,
You went from not seeing a difference to after a day or two feeling a change in your energy ; ) That's fantastic! How do you feel about that? With more energy, you have a better attitude & can get more accomplished in the day. So many other people will want to know your secret--so tell them how you got more energy just by hydrating yourself!!! No gimmicks or unhealthy energy drinks --just plain water! Share your experience. Please post daily & I look forward to hearing details. Happy hydrating!

  100. Hi Johnny,
More energy already after a day of hydrating! Doesn't it feel great? I can't wait to hear what else you experience as a result of the contest. Everyone is different. As you can read with the other posts, many people have had some great experiences after hydrating for two weeks faithfully. This contest can change your life & how you do things. Maintaining a healthy lifestyle will help you feel great forever -- not just 2 weeks. I look forward to seeing you post daily : )

  112. Glad to see that Leury, Elizabeth & Maria are still going strong with this contest! You are the "only ones" still in it so don't give up. You have only until next week to complete this contest & I know you can do it. Your prize is FREE products & I know you are all excited about that. But I do need to see more details regarding your experience in the postings. Keep in mind that you are 'earning' this prize by helping yourself get hydrated--two prizes in one contest. When you give me specific details, I know you are truly hydrating AND I know that you are AWARE of all the wonderful changes you are experiencing. When you take time to reflect on your day, then you are more likely to stick with the hydration habit well after the contest. Your experience will affect others when they ready your posts so help them understand why hydration is so important. Thanks!!!

Day 1: I never drank water that much before so this contest is something I'd like to try out to see the difference. I started drinking around 5 today. Just really frequent trips to the bathroom lol I think it's too soon to tell and also because I was really busy at work so I didn't pay too much attention but I will keep the updates coming from day to day. We'll see how this goes.

    ReplyDelete
  128. So my current weight is 147 lbs and I must drink about 74 oz of water per day. To be honest, I am not a water drinker, I mostly drink Coca Cola and coffee. This contest is a great opportunity for me to reduce my Coca Cola intake and introduce more water into my life. As well as detoxify my body from all the caffeine that I drink daily. This is my first day doing so and so far I've gone to the bathroom about 10 times. I also noticed a change in my mood; I haven't been cranky or drowsy. Which is kind of contradictory considering that I've only had 1 cup of coffee throughout the whole day. I should've had a headache by now... Surprisingly I don't...

  129. Day 2: Late on the post but here it is. Again with the frequent trips to the bathroom. Urine is basically clear. I also noticed more energy? I'm rejoining the gym again too so this amount of water intake will definitely help. I also hope it'll start helping my skin condition as well? Maybe my face will clear up and look healthier?

Congratulations on committing to the hydration challenge! Not everyone experiences changes right away but stay aware of even subtle differences in your physical & mental well being. You can read some of the other posts to see what happened with others : ) Drinking water (spread out) throughout the day will help you to eliminate that tired feeling by mid morning & mid afternoon. Also, if you could post on the "Get Hydrated. It can help you get to Europe" blog, that would help me to track everyone in the same place so that you can earn those 400 travel dollars.
