  22. ok I'm starting my hydration challenge today 12/14/11. I weight 180lbs so I have to drink 90oz of water daily. I have to confess, I'm not a water drinking person. I stay away from soda though. I mostly drink juices like snapple, troppicana, V8, vitamin water... So this is truly a challenge for me to drink all that water. Let all this be for my health and body's sake! here we go!

    ReplyDelete
  23. Day 2: I don't have much of an update today. I have continued to go to the bathroom...not that much of a difference from yesterday.

    ReplyDelete
  24. Hi John,
You are going to be amazed at how different you feel by properly hydrating yourself. Great attitude to go in this with--this is for your overall health. You can do it! The sugars in the drinks you have chosen are what give you false energy--after it wears off, you crash. This wreaks havoc on your body & it's blood sugar levels. You will have "natural" energy with water--no "crash & burn" feeling. Remember to post daily so you can earn your FREE products!

    ReplyDelete
  25. Hi Clarimel,
You will have more to post in the next few days--don't worry! Enjoy the experience of hydrating & post daily so you can earn FREE products. You might want to get a partner & do this with them--have fun!

    ReplyDelete
  26. Day 3: Hello Elizabeth, Will do! I deff want my free products :-). Actually I just drank the last bottle of water for today. I have noticed that since I'm drinking more water I have less room for other substances like Coca Cola. I normally drink like 5 cans of soda a day! I know, kinda dehydrated here; but after starting this contest I've noticed that I can't really drink the sodas if I'm drinking this much water. And since I have a specific goal of 4.5 bottles a day it doesn't seem like much work to stop drinking soda. It's easier because I'm not telling my self "I can't have coke at all" instead I'm telling myself " I can have all the coke I want as soon as I meet my goal for today" and then what ends up happening is that I end up drinking significantly less soda for the day, which is great! Today instead of having 5 cans of coke I ended up having ~2 cans... I also noticed that I don't have that insatiable hunger and I'm significantly less cranky as well...

    ReplyDelete
  27. Day 4: Today was the same as yesterday. I'm less hungry and less cranky .

    ReplyDelete
  28. Hi Clarimel,
I'm so happy that the challenge is changing your soda habit into a water one. 5 sodas a day is a lot of sugar which will spike your blood sugar & then you crash. So much sugar can easily give you headaches & make you cranky. The water is such a switch for you & I like your approach to it--very positive! This is going to be such a healthy change for you & you are going to feel like a totally "new" person. Keep posting & happy hydrating!

  29. Day 5: On my 5th day I noticed that I am in a better mood. I still go to the bathroom constantly.

    ReplyDelete
  30. Day 6: So today, I didn't have dinner until 8:30pm and surpricingly I wasn't cranky at all. Usually I get very moody and shaky when I haven't eaten for that long.

    ReplyDelete
  31. Day7: To be honest I haven't seen much of a difference other than my temper and constant use of the bathroom. Maybe I'm not paying close attention...

    ReplyDelete
  32. Day 8: Today i noticed that i was less sleepy than before. I was a little more alert and thats without coffee. So I'm real happy...

    ReplyDelete
  33. Water keeps you alert when you're hydrated! Doesn't it feel great?

    ReplyDelete
  34. Day 9: Yes I'm happy that I'm more alert. My mood continues to be better and I'm not as drowsy as I used to.

    ReplyDelete
  35. Day 10: Same as yesterday.. nothing new

    ReplyDelete
  36. Day 11: Same as before. My mood continues to be better and I seem to be less hungry. I also feel more alert and concentrated.

  38. Day 12: NOw that i started consuming more water, I noticed that we go through much more cases of water. I pretty much drank the whole case of water (32 pack from BJ's)in a matter of like 5 days. I never noticed how much money you would have to spend in order to keep properly hydrated. Also, I'm glad because my soda consumption has gone waaaay down and I seem a happier person than before.

Unfortunately, you're not in the running for qualifying for the $200 travel dollars BUT I still encourage you to drink your water for proper hydration. You will still earn a great habit that will help lead you to good health : )

  49. Hi Everyone,
Today is my Day 1 in this Hydration Contest. I weigh 180lbs so I have to drink about 6 bottles of water. I notice an immediate difference in my appetite when I drink two bottles of water in the morning. Usually I go out for breakfast in the morning but today I was full off of oatmeal and a banana. When I drank two more bottles of water I felt energized instead of the usual tired that I feel throughout the day. By the time I finished my sixth bottle, I felt great. I didn't feel tired, I was able to control my appetite and I felt lighter and awesome.

So glad to hear that you experienced a difference immediately!!! That's fantastic. Imagine how you're going to feel after 14 days :) Remember to post daily & on weekends, too.

    Day 2
Drank about 8 bottles x 16 oz. Can't stop using the bathroom, I barely made it home today I thought my bladder was going to explode LOL. Anyhow safe to say, I made it. I am experiencing that the more water I drink the more I am in need of water. Like my body is calling for it. It's almost addicting, in a good way. We'll see tomorrow. Good night.

Day 4 of hydration - Got the portable carico stainless steal water bottle for me, my mother, and my cousin. Which are all on the 14 day hydration. I am also collecting data on how my mom feels and my cousin. My data on day 4, still using the bathroom alot more, I am in need of water, I haven't drank a pepsi in two days, and i love soda.
Day 5 of hydration - Didn't drink soda, went to the bathroom regurally, stomach feels slimmer. I feel better.
Day 6 of hydration - I can see it's becoming a habbit, and abviously a good one, and it's helped me with drinking no soda. Great!!! I lost 3.5 pounds. :o)
Day 7 of hydration - I drank over 150 oz of water. At this point everyone who i associate with has been calling me the water freak. LOL. They keep telling me to stop talking about water. I feel like a walking presentation.
